January 1 ~ New Year’s Day
Polar Bear Swim - Test the New Year's Day waters (and your courage) at Seafarer's Park boat launch ramp, 2 pm. Spectators are welcome, and encouraged to cheer on the swimmers. Best vantage point is the gazebo.

 Robbie Burns Night - Scots and the Scottish at heart celebrates the birth of the bard with haggis, piping, high-stepping and more at the Legion. Drinks at 5:30, dinner at 6:30. Call 604-883-2235 for ticket info.
